Edwin 'Super Bejo' Story of Going to the Mall Wearing a Koko Outfit, Asked to Be Imam During Prayer

However, in recent years Edwin and Djody have rarely appeared on television. If they do, it's only a few soap opera titles on television. Now, they are both focused on improving themselves and deepening their knowledge of Islam.

1. Release of Muslim Men's Clothing

In addition to shooting, both of them also often participate in religious events. Well, recently Edwin and Djody had the opportunity to collaborate with Emier from Muslimadani to release Muslim men's clothing or koko shirts.

Not just ordinary models, but Edwin and Djody also specifically designed koko shirts to be worn by Muslim men who have a hobby of big motorcycles or moge. In accordance with their image as moge enthusiasts.

"The clothes are sturdy but not too formal. Alhamdulillah, by wearing clothes like this, there is no negative invitation, haha. I am synonymous with clothes that smell like bikers, not far from skulls, fire," said Edwin in East Bekasi, Tuesday (1/5/2021).

2. Positive Impact

"Well, this one is not, it's knee-length, when praying it's not visible (also) the back is 3/4 sleeves, raglan. There are no other pictures lately," Edwin added.

According to him, this collaboration is one of the positive impacts after both of them visited MSMEs in the Bekasi area.

"Before Eid, we often visit MSMEs in the city of Bekasi, it turns out that the impact is extraordinary, they are happy. What's even more extraordinary is that we are given a surprise on how we collaborate, which means that if there is collaboration, God willing, there will be goodness for us too," he said.

3. Baju Koko Can Be Worn to the Mall

Regarding baju koko, Edwin has a unique story that made his friend, Djody, shake his head. Edwin admitted that he had once worshiped wearing a shirt with pictures and many writings on the back of the shirt.

"When I got home and took off the shirt, Astaghfirullah. Turns out the shirt had a great influence during worship," explained Edwin.

After that incident, Djody, who had already studied Islamic religious knowledge, immediately gave Edwin a baju koko. Coincidentally, the baju koko he wore was not too formal. In other words, it could also be worn for other events, including going to the mall.

4. Wearing Good Clothes

"Finally, I wore my baju koko, when I prayed, I didn't think about anything. Even when I was at the mall, and the call to prayer came, I immediately 'please go ahead, Edwin (told by the imam),' it felt good to see," he said.

"What Edwin did, he already realized that prayer is a dialogue with Allah, he has felt that. It's really wrong for me to face Allah wearing clothes that are not good," Djody concluded.
