His Father Died While in Malang - East Java, Mpok Alpa Rushed to Jakarta Only 8 Hours Journey

Mpok Alpa herself admitted that she was in Malang - East Java when her father passed away. At that time, she was informed by her husband. Mpok Alpa's husband was so eager to return to Jakarta at that time.

1. Forced to Return

"We were in Malang, he (husband) asked me to go back, I didn't know (about father's death) but he insisted on going back (from Malang to Jakarta), finally got permission to go back," said Mpok Alpa when met after the funeral at the funeral home, Jagakarsa area, South Jakarta, Thursday (3/6).

Mpok Alpa was initially in disbelief. She received news again from her nephew. Still in shock, Mpok Alpa shouted in her husband's arms.

"He (husband) tried to calm me down, but I kept shouting and he hugged me," continued the presenter born in Jakarta, March 12, 1987.

2. Leaving Malang Early in the Morning

Apparently, her husband had a video call with Mpok Alpa's father. At that time, he had already accepted it. Shortly after, Mpok Alpa's father took his last breath. Mpok Alpa herself immediately returned to Jakarta at 00:30 AM.

"After that video call, my father was gone, he passed away at around eleven o'clock at night. I traveled from Malang to Jakarta at half past twelve," added Mpok Alpa.

3. Only 8 Hours

Interestingly, the overland journey from Malang to Jakarta, which usually takes 14 hours, only takes 8 hours.

"Well, it should be estimated that from Malang to Jakarta it takes a maximum of 14 hours, but this time we did it in 8 hours. It felt like we got lost, went through the forest but found the toll road again, felt confused but it's like being given a fast lane where the 10-hour journey rule becomes 8 hours," he concluded.
