Quoted from the lawyer.sunnah account that uploaded a video excerpt of Bjah's lecture. The former vocalist of The Fly tells his story before embracing Islam.

Bjah said that he had been in prison during the darkest period of his life, and tried to get closer to Allah to live a better life.

However, everything didn't go smoothly. Bjah even had to migrate three times to find the true meaning of what he was looking for.

"I had migrated three times, but failed. The first migration, because I didn't know, I wanted to get closer to Allah, how to live right. But it seemed like my migration was not accepted by Allah," said Bjah.

Afterwards, Bjah returned to migrate, but in his second migration, Bjah practiced actions outside of Allah's commandments and not exemplified by the Prophet Muhammad SAW.

"I am sure this is wrong, his deeds are only dhikr (remembrance of Allah), while prayer is abandoned. I have left it," he said.

In his third migration, Bjah also tried to do things that were recommended, but still felt that it was the right thing to do.

"I did all the recommended deeds. In one day, I could attend religious gatherings three times until I became confused because there were many things said to be recommended," said Bjah. "I even asked Allah, when reciting Al-Fatihah, I cried non-stop, 'O Allah, show me Your straight path, I don't want to go astray like before,'" he added.

Until finally, Bjah has now migrated and hopes to become a better person and redeem his past sins. "May Allah forgive my past sins. Oh my Lord, in the past I invited people to commit sins, now help me to replace my old sins," he concluded.
