Angelina Sondakh or Angie, is known as an actress, former politician, and model. She became famous after being crowned Miss Indonesia 2001, representing North Sulawesi. She then entered the political arena and was elected as a member of the Indonesian House of Representatives for the periods 2004–2009 and 2009–2014.

Unfortunately, in 2012 Angelina was embroiled in a corruption case involving the construction project of the SEA Games Athletes' House 2011 in Palembang. She was sentenced to 10 years in prison and a fine of IDR 500 million. Released on March 3, 2022, Angelina Sondakh expressed her regret and apologized to the public.
