Senior artist and aerobics instructor Vicky Burki has been undergoing urine therapy or drinking her own urine for a long time. She claims to have started this therapy in 2004.

"Vicky started the urine therapy in 2004, and she became a vegetarian towards the end of 2005. Initially, Vicky found eating meat unpleasant, but after becoming a vegetarian and drinking her own urine, it became more enjoyable," said Vicky Burky, who was recently interviewed in the Tendean area, South Jakarta.

Vicky Burki also shared how she became interested in trying urine therapy for her health when she was traveling out of town. The 56-year-old woman admitted that she initially felt strange drinking her own urine.

"At first, because Vicky had been out of town and saw a book at the airport about urine therapy. It seemed funny, like a long-term therapy, not like taking medicine," she said.

That's when Vicky started regularly undergoing urine therapy by drinking her own urine every day. However, Vicky Burki is aware that urine therapy has been controversial for a long time.

"It's like drinking water every day as therapy. Vicky sees it as a detox for our body's health, so we can regulate our diet and urinate more frequently," she explained.

"Actually, there are pros and cons, there will be various criticisms. It's like finding a suitable match, just like with people. Like fruit therapy, there are also pros and cons," she continued.

Despite the many pros and cons, after 17 years of doing urine therapy, Vicky Burki claims to have obtained positive results from the extreme therapy she has done for her body.

"The effects, besides detoxing for health, also make you rarely get sick. It also helps reduce emotions," she said.
