"I came to ask about my case because I want to follow up since the case has been hanging for a year. The suspect has been a suspect since June 2024, but until now the status is still a suspect and has not progressed to the prosecutor's office," said Shahnaz to the media at the South Jakarta Metro Police.

This report is actually not a new case on the police's desk. Shahnaz has been known to file a complaint with the authorities since 2023 regarding allegations of psychological violence. Although the legal status of her ex-husband has escalated to a suspect, Shahnaz admitted that her heart feels sad seeing the reality on the ground. "Yes (sad), this has been going on for a long time, but the progress is not moving forward, what is going on that I question, the suspect is still roaming everywhere," Shahnaz explained with a disappointed tone in response to the situation.

This uncertainty makes Shahnaz continue to wonder about the continuation of the legal process she is undergoing in search of justice for herself. She hopes that the police can provide a definite answer as to why the case files have not yet been submitted to the prosecutor's office so that it can be tried soon.

"I am requesting clarification, I am waiting for an answer from the police, yes, I just hope my case is monitored," she concluded, hoping this case receives more attention from law enforcement.
