Accompanying Father at the Hospital, Dee Lestari Accepts the Departure of Her Father

Kapanlagi.com - Before he passed away, Dee Lestari's father, Yohan Simangunsong, underwent intensive treatment at the hospital. Her father was being treated for lung infection that spread to other organs.

Prior to that, her father had undergone successful nerve surgery in mid-December 2023. "The surgery went smoothly. However, some time later, complications arose with lung infection that caused disturbances in other organs," said Dee Lestari at the RSPAD funeral home, Gatot Subroto, Central Jakarta, on Friday (2/1/2024).

During his time at the hospital, Dee Lestari, along with her siblings, took turns faithfully accompanying their beloved father. However, Dee Lestari was not at the hospital when her father took his last breath, as she was out of town at that time.

1. Being Out of Town When My Father is Not Around

Dee Lestari said that she still went out of town based on an agreement with her siblings. Moreover, the job that Dee Lestari took could not be cancelled.

"However, at the time when my father took his last breath, coincidentally I was working outside of Java, precisely in Bali, which I couldn't cancel," she said.

"Finally, I departed based on our agreement with my five siblings. My sister was also teaching in Bandung, and there was a performance on that day, so it happened that we all had activities," she added.

Nevertheless, one of Dee Lestari's siblings accompanied their father at the hospital until he passed away. "But indeed, one of my siblings was already on standby and committed to not working for a while, and they were the one who stayed with my father," she said.

"At that time, there were seven people with my father and our sibling who is a pastor, so I think my father's departure was very peaceful and beautiful," she added.

2. Already Sincere

Dee Lestari is sincere about her father's departure. Dee Lestari said that her father had lived to the fullest and had given many lessons on facing any situation.

"That's it, that's his teaching, my father always has to stay calm in facing anything, and he has often said formally and informally that people at 80 are already blessed," she said.

"I have received many bonuses, he was 85 and still able to gather with his children and grandchildren to do his hobbies, so he has lived to the fullest," she concluded.
