Kapanlagi.com - Baim Wong is still confused because there are still people who become victims of scams claiming to be him. Even though, Baim has openly advised people not to be tempted by the promise of winning a giveaway and to transfer a certain amount of money in order to receive the prize.
When asked about it in Kemang, South Jakarta, on Wednesday (31/1), Baim seemed unable to respond. He only said that he would continue to help as much as possible if there are more victims.
"I am frustrated, angry, and confused because we have already talked about it and informed them," said Baim Wong.
"It's also sad because I can only help to the best of my abilities. I can only do what I can and I always remind them," he continued.
Moreover, the scammer's modus operandi using Baim Wong's name is not to be taken lightly. It is not uncommon for the scammer to present a video as if Baim Wong himself is making a video call with the victim.
"Yes, the modus operandi has always been like that, they copy my video and use it for scams, they also ask for money transfers," he said.
However, Baim asserts that he can't do much if someone who claims to be a victim comes and asks for an explanation from him. Although he is not the one responsible, Baim Wong tries his best to show empathy towards the victims.
"It's uncomfortable to feel it every day or every week when there are people in front of my house. We also don't know what they (the victims) feel, so we can only show empathy," he concluded.
