Accused of Treating Nia Ramadhani and Ardi Bakrie Differently, Here's the Police's Response

Kapanlagi.com - Central Jakarta Police Chief, Commissioner Pol Hengki Haryadi, speaks up regarding allegations from netizens that there were different treatments regarding the arrests of Nia Ramadhani and Ardi Bakrie. The allegations emerged during the release of the arrests of Nia Ramadhani and Ardi Bakrie on Thursday (8/7/2021).

At that time, the police did not present Nia Ramadhani and Ardi Bakrie. Commissioner Pol Hengki Haryadi stated that during the press conference, Nia Ramadhani and Ardi Bakrie were undergoing hair tests at the Regional Health Laboratory.

"We need to clarify that there were different treatments towards these suspects. During the first release, the suspects were taken to the Regional Health Laboratory for hair and blood tests, considering that this is a case that has gained public attention," said Commissioner Pol Hengki Haryadi at the Central Jakarta Police, Saturday (10/7/2021).

"So besides urine tests, we also conducted hair and blood tests. Furthermore, we would like to convey that our investigation is continuous, meaning we thoroughly examine it for four days," he continued.

1. Still Looking for Evidence

Hengki said, for the past four days, they have been still looking for evidence related to the case involving Nia Ramadhani and Ardi Bakrie.

"Regarding the article construction that we actually applied, from the beginning we applied Article 127 of Law No. 35 of 2009 concerning narcotics. Where we have the perception that according to our statement at that time, the investigation was not yet completed. So for the past four days, we have conducted a more in-depth investigation regarding this case,"

"We conducted searches, examined digital evidence, IT data, and then examined the three suspects to determine whether there is a possibility of development from the existing article, whether there is any malicious intent, whether they possess, store, control, or even distribute, meaning offering to others," he concluded.

2. Nia Ramadhani and Ardi Bakrie Narcotics

It is known that Nia Ramadhani and Ardi Bakrie, along with their driver, ZN, were arrested by the Narcotics Investigation Unit of the Central Jakarta Metro Police in the Pondok Indah area, South Jakarta, on Wednesday (7/7/2021) for alleged drug abuse. From the arrest, the police confiscated 0.78 grams of crystal methamphetamine and a bong or crystal methamphetamine inhalation device.
