Acting Sad in the soap opera 'TAKDIR CINTA YANG KUPILIH', Alisia Rininta and Randy Pangalila Reveal Exhaustion - No Greetings

Throughout more than five hundred episodes, Alisia and Randy have performed many scenes. It turns out that for both of them, acting in sad scenes is not enjoyable.

"I find it difficult to act sad compared to romantic scenes. When acting sad, I need some space because Jeffrey's sadness is not relatable, but I have to portray it to the audience," Randy said in an interview via Zoom last week.

"I feel the same way. It's better to have romantic or fun scenes that can make people laugh rather than sad scenes," added Alisia on the same occasion.

1. Need Time Alone

Before acting in sad scenes, both Alisia Rininta and Randy Pangalila choose to isolate themselves in their rooms while watching sad movies or listening to sad songs. During that time, they will remain silent to each other.

"When there are sad scenes, crying scenes, when I come to the location, I don't greet anyone. I immediately go into the room because I need time to create sadness. So, since morning before shooting, I listen to mellow songs," said Randy.

"Same here, I also build that feeling from the morning. I even cried alone on the shooting location to get puffy eyes," added Alisia.

2. Tired of Sad Scenes

After acting sad and crying, usually Alisia Rininta and Randy Pangalila will feel extremely tired. That's why they prefer to have fun or romantic scenes rather than being overwhelmed by sadness.

"After the sad scene, I feel relieved. But after that scene, I feel very tired, sleepy," explained Randy.

"Acting sad feels really uncomfortable. Because we shoot every day, our mental state needs to be maintained. I often confide in Randy when I'm tired. It's normal to be tired when we're given sad scenes every day," concluded Alisia.
