Kapanlagi.com - Most people in Indonesia who smoke cigars are only enjoyed by the upper class. This is because the price of cigars is considered expensive, ranging from hundreds of thousands to millions of rupiah per stick. Considering the high price, it is reasonable that only wealthy people can enjoy cigars.Â

Not wanting to see only the upper class people enjoying cigars, actor Ade Habibie directly produces the cigars at an affordable price called 156 Cigar. This is intentionally done so that the lower middle class society can enjoy cigars.
"Ordinary people should be able to taste cigars. So it's not just limited to the upper class, right? Cigars do have their roots in the upper class. According to me, cigars can be enjoyed by anyone, from any social class," said Ade Habibie to Kapanlagi.com at Spill And Still, Central Jakarta.
In addition to being felt by the upper class, people who smoke cigars are usually accompanied by alcoholic drinks. However, according to Ade Habibie, smoking cigars is not only enjoyed while drinking alcoholic beverages, but can also be enjoyed while drinking hot tea and eating fried bananas.
"True, I don't actually drink alcohol, I drink tubruk tea. I like tubruk tea, that's also possible. So if someone wants to use wine, whiskey, it's fine. Like I said earlier, if you like fried bananas, fried snacks, butter, sugar, then go ahead," he said.

During the Covid-19 pandemic, Obet, the actor in the film Chasing the Sun, is currently focusing on pursuing the business of 156 Cigars. He is not alone, as Ade Habibie is assisted in this business by his friends who are knowledgeable in the field. Ade stated that the main ingredient of 165 Cigars is not sourced from abroad, but rather from Jember, East Java, Indonesia.
"It's from Jember, the land is good, fertile, and all that. It is managed by Kevin, who has a Master's degree in tobacco agriculture. He is still young, in his late twenties. So, in the cigar, there are three to four leaves, which are combined into one," he said.
Ade Habibie's interest in building a cigar business is not without reason. He only wants the lower middle class to be able to smoke cigars.
"Indonesian people also like cigars. This could become a new culture, not only for the upper class. Everyone can smoke cigars, that's how it should be in Indonesia. We shouldn't be too segmented," he said.
"156 Cigars start at 55 thousand rupiahs. So instead of buying one that costs 350 thousand, the cheapest one costs 350 thousand. There is one that costs 1.8 million per stick. I believe that in Indonesia, we can create something even better," said Ade Habibie.

Ade Habibie himself admitted that he has not officially launched the 156 Cigar business. However, he has introduced his product in several places, one of which is at Spill And Still, Central Jakarta.
"We select retail stores for sales. For now, we choose Spill And Still as a place to buy as well. Later, there will be several other places, including a cafe in Cilandak, Maritim Street, where I will place it. I also have my own restaurant called Little League at PTIK, and I will place it there too. For now, I place it in friendly places,"
Not stopping there, this actor who has a hobby of old motorcycles also plans to open a 156 Cigar store in Jakarta. "Later, God willing, there are plans. We'll see based on the feedback. According to my friends, the price is very good," concluded Ade Habibie.
