Together with three of his friends, Satria Mahathir was apprehended by the Barelang Police in Batam. When he was released from jail, Satria Mahathir appeared as a guest on the YouTube channel Need A Talk hosted by Atta Halilintar.

Through the conversation in the video, Satria Mahathir admitted that he had actually come to the police station before receiving the summons letter.

"So if in the news it was reported that we were arrested, we were not arrested. We came to the Polresta before the summons letter was issued," explained Satria Mahathir.

"Between 13 or 14 days. Two weeks," answered Satria Mahathir when asked by Atta Halilintar.

"There are definitely interventions from multiple parties. It just so happens that there are four of us," Satria Mahathir continued.

Satria Mahathir also claimed that he is the son of a police officer. Although his father has passed away, he claims to have backing. Moreover, his friends involved in the assault are not just ordinary people's children.

"But my father is not the only influential person in my life, there are still people behind me, there is also the father of this person (Satria's friend) who is in the DPR, outside of that, his parents are all businessmen, important people in Batam. It's 4 against 1. It could be (backing), but not a lot," concluded the 20-year-old man.

Not only did he reveal his connections, he also showed off TikTok videos while in prison. This moment made Atta Halilintar shake his head in disbelief and question how the prisoner could bring a mobile phone. However, Satria Mahathir admitted that he couldn't answer Atta Halilintar's curiosity.

"You're really 'Cogil', how could you bring a mobile phone to prison?"

"I can't answer that question, it's terrifying," answered Satria Mahathir.
