Kapanlagi.com - Loss is still deeply felt by the vocalist of the band Cokelat, Kikan Namara, after her mother, Indira Damayanti, took her last breath on Tuesday (8/8). Moreover, Kikan herself admitted that she rarely spent time with her mother before she passed away.
When met after the funeral procession at TPU Jeruk Purut, South Jakarta, on Wednesday (9/8), Kikan said that she had to finish her work both inside and outside the city. She also admitted that she was afraid of her mother taking her last breath when she was not at home.
"Honestly, I couldn't always accompany her because I also had work and in the past two months, I always felt nervous when I had jobs outside the city because I didn't want my mother to pass away when I was not in Jakarta or not at home," said Kikan.

Nevertheless, as much as possible, Kikan always says goodbye whenever she is about to go anywhere. She always tells her mother to wait for her to come back when her work is done.
Fortunately, what Kikan is afraid of does not happen. She said that before her mother passed away, she was by her side.
"Alhamdulillah, it was granted by Allah that when my mother passed away, I was by her side, taking care of her," she said.
"But if asked if I was constantly taking care of her, no. Because, well, if I always say goodbye or go out of town, I always say that I'm going here, I'm going to perform here, I'm going to sing here, I'm going to this city. And I always say, 'Wait for me to come home,'" she concluded.
