Putri Patricia was shocked to find out that she had a tumor located between her uterus and the outer layer of her uterus. She underwent surgery to remove the tumor in her body.
After the surgery, her condition gradually improved although she has not fully recovered yet. She is grateful that the tumor she has is still considered benign and was detected early.
When met at her residence in Bintaro, South Tangerang, on Thursday (7/12), Putri Patricia explained the cause of the tumor she has. However, Putri herself does not fully understand the exact cause of her tumor.
"So if the cause is actually something I just found out from the doctor, the uterus is the house (dayang bulan) that can cause the possibility of a woman having a cyst, but what causes it to appear is still unknown," said Putri Patricia.
"Because I always live a healthy life, eat healthy, sleep regularly, don't smoke, and only drink wine, so it's difficult to say what the cause is, but there is indeed a risk and we have to control it," she continued.
Putri also stated that for every woman, undergoing a medical check-up is very important, because anyone is at risk of developing uterine tumors. Not only that, a healthy lifestyle should also be implemented to reduce the risk.
"Certainly with my current condition, I have to have regular check-ups every three months. It's important to live a healthy life and avoid stress, although it's not easy. If possible, I want to avoid stress because it can affect my mental health. Once it affects my mental health, it takes a lot of effort to return to normal," she said.
In addition, until now, Putri Patricia admits that she has never stopped being grateful because she was fortunate enough to detect the tumor in her uterus early. She can't imagine what would have happened if the tumor turned out to be malignant and received late treatment.
"Of course, I'm happy because if the tumor turned out to be malignant, there would be further actions that I don't know, maybe chemotherapy or something. If it's malignant, I can't say anything," she said.
