Affected by the Covid-19 Pandemic, Aris Idol Auctions Favorite Guitar and Sells Red Ginger and Donuts

To make ends meet, Jaunarisman, whose real name is Aris Idol, even had to sell his beloved guitar that he had owned for years. Not only the guitar, but also some of his personal belongings had to be sold because he couldn't generate income due to a lack of job opportunities during the pandemic.

It's really bad, bro. The car has been sold, the motorcycle has been sold, and I'm even thinking of selling the land. Many jobs have been canceled, and I can't perform anymore," said Aris Idol in Bekasi, West Java recently.

Now, he has decided to auction off his beloved guitar that has accompanied his journey since he started as a street musician until he auditioned for Indonesian Idol.

"I want to auction off the guitar that I used to play on the streets, then used in the Indonesian Idol audition until I made it to the spectacle round. I want to use the money as capital during this pandemic, and I also want to use some of it to help small musicians," he said.

1. Historical Guitar

In addition to being a beloved guitar, this guitar also has historical value for him. Although he is reluctant to sell it, he no longer knows what to do to earn money. Aris Idol opened an auction for his guitar with a price of 13 million rupiah. 

"Because I don't know what else to auction. Yesterday I auctioned my shoes, and finally agreed to auction this audition guitar. Actually, the historical value of this guitar is expensive," said Aris Idol.

"I opened the price at 13 million, actually 13 million is meaningless to someone who understands the historical value. Actually, I also love it, but since I don't know what to do anymore and I don't have any money," he continued.

2. Selling Red Ginger and Donuts

In these difficult times, Aris had to think creatively so that his kitchen could still be active. And in order to meet his daily needs, this 33-year-old singer temporarily started a small business selling red ginger and donuts. 

"Now I make red ginger and donuts to increase my capital. I sell red ginger and donuts. Red Ginger by Aris Idol and Aris Donuts. At that time, many friends were sick, and I was inspired to make red ginger and I gave it for free to friends who were sick. After that, I started selling," he concluded.
