Afraid of Being Exposed to the Covid-19 Virus, Yuri OM PMR Initially Refused to be Treated at the Hospital

Kapanlagi.com - Yuri Anurawan, a mandolin player from the music group Orkes Moral Pengantar Minum Racun (OM PMR), passed away at Fatmawati Hospital on Wednesday (10/2/2020). Yuri passed away due to cancer.

"He (Yuri) had a problem with his glands in the neck. There was no problem in the check-up. Eventually, he refused to be treated at the hospital because of the Covid situation," said Boy Indra, Yuri's brother-in-law, at the funeral home on Thursday (12/2/2021).

1. Afraid of Exposure

Before passing away, Yuri refused to be treated at the hospital because he was afraid of being exposed to the Covid-19 virus. As his condition worsened, his family finally took Yuri to the hospital.

"From the family's side, it was for a non Covid-19 PCR swab. Because his condition did not allow forcing him to be fully examined at the hospital to find out what his illness was," he said.

2. Negative Result

Although the test result came back negative, Yuri still refused to be treated at the hospital. However, after being persuaded by his wife, Titi Mawardi, Yuri finally agreed to undergo treatment at Fatmawati Hospital.

"He felt that he wasn't sick and still fighting. But after being persuaded by his wife, a few days later he agreed (to be treated)," he said.

3. Buried at TPU Taman Barito

Yuri Anurawan was buried at TPU Taman Barito, South Jakarta, on Thursday (11/2/2021). Yuri's family and relatives accompanied Yuri until his final resting place, one of whom was Mike from the band Marjinal. As known, Yuri is the younger brother of Budi Padukone, the guitarist of OM PMR who passed away in October 2020.
