“This single tells the story of someone who suddenly becomes emotionally numb in their relationship and is confused about how to convey it to their partner. It's an expression of a broken heart, but this woman can control it,” said Maudy Ayunda in her release statement.

‘Don’t Know Why’ is an easy listening song dominated by acoustic guitar and piano. Through this song, the star of the movie PERAHU KERTAS also wants to change the mindset of women when experiencing heartbreak.

“There are too many songs about heartbreak that tell about distress and helplessness. I think it's the right time for me to remind that we as women have the power to design our own life path and love story,” said Maudy Ayunda.

2. Ready to Present EP

The song 'Don't Know Why' is one of the three songs that Maudy Ayunda will present in the form of an Extended Playlist (EP) which will be released in the coming months.

“I realize that I will always write songs because it's my passion and one of my ways to express myself. But, do I need to write a lot of songs for an album, right? Why should I feel rushed to chase making an album? I want to present a work or production that is very intimate, close to me and my life, and very honest. Finally, this EP is born,” she concluded.
