Initially, mediation could still be scheduled for the couple, but because the wife did not attend, the next hearing will directly schedule the presentation of evidence.

"Dellu Uyee has filed for divorce from his wife, this is the second hearing with the examination of the parties, if the petitioner does not come, we will proceed with the presentation of evidence. The panel should want to be present, but the petitioner is not present," said Andre Tambunan, Dellu Uyee's lawyer when met at the Cibinong Religious Court, Thursday (16/9).

In the same occasion, Dellu Uye mentioned the reasons for the cracks in his marriage. According to him, it may be due to communication, cultural differences, and frequent arguments that occur in the household as the main causes.

"First, communication, which makes us always argue, different cultures make many things that make us have different opinions, like wanting this and that, and eventually arguments continue," said Dellu Uyee.

"In addition, the current pandemic situation makes us argue more often and keep our distance. She chose to leave without resolving the issues, and it happened repeatedly," he continued.

After that, Radi Mandradipta added that perhaps the Covid 19 pandemic also caused his client and his wife to grow apart. However, Rudi emphasized that the separation of Dellu Uyee and Courtney was not due to economic issues.

"Actually, the problem with our client might be partly because of the global pandemic situation, so there is a little distance and communication is only superficial. (Economic issues) Oh no," said Radi Mandradipta.

In addition, Dellu Uyee asserted that there is no indication of infidelity between him and his wife. Both of them purely want to divorce by mutual agreement.

"There is absolutely none. Neither me nor my wife. None, child, assets or anything, we just want a divorce without any demands," Dellu Uyee concluded.
