"For me, the most important thing is the best for both parties. Because this case is actually a trivial case that ended up going everywhere," said Denny Sumargo at Polda Metro Jaya, Monday (18/11/2024).
This father of one child also expressed deep sympathy for Agus and Novi. "I feel sorry for Agus, I feel sorry for Novi. Because they are, well, how should I put it. I can't say much either," he said.
On that occasion, Densu admitted that he was already tired of this issue and did not want to meet Agus and the related parties anymore. "I am tired of commenting on that," he said.
This case has had a significant impact on Denny Sumargo's podcast, which has exploded after the news about the donation went viral. Denny even mentioned that the donation amount of 1.5 billion rupiah has now become 'hot money'.
"Yes, that donation of one point something billion should have been a blessing. Now it has become hot money. That money has been sued left and right, if accepted it seems like it would no longer be a blessing," he said, then laughed.
Denny also does not regret his intention to help people through donations, even though the process is now much more complicated than he expected. "If I regret helping people? No. I just regret that this donation has become as complicated and controversial as it is. It's tiring to see," he said.
He also expressed how tired he is of seeing the situation continue to evolve without a clear resolution. "Because it goes everywhere, bro. I'm tired of seeing it. I mean, this is a donation, so you go get treated there, then come here, then go to the police station, then back there," he concluded.
