Ahead of Fun Volley Ball Against Indonesia All Star, Red Sparks Coach Says Lee So-Young Will Be the Team's Captain

"We have been in Indonesia for 3 days. Everything is ready, nothing is missing, I can't wait for the match tomorrow," said Koo in a press conference at Hotel Mulia Senayan, Jakarta, (19/4) afternoon.

"Rather than winning, what is important is to bring happiness to the Indonesian people," he added.

As a setter, Koo added that Yeum's position is rarely replaced by other players. For this exhibition match, Koo hopes that there will be many spectators present at the Indonesia Arena.

"Yeom is a responsible captain, good, and has good leadership. Maybe in the future, he can become the captain of the Red Sparks team," said Koo.

"I have to negotiate with the players because there are many spectators tomorrow who bought tickets hoping the match can last long," he continued.

Meanwhile, Yeom himself admitted that he was happy to be welcomed warmly in his hometown of Mega. He also explained that various preparations have been made for this match in order to give the best performance. 

"This is the first time I feel like this, many fans welcomed our arrival and the reception was very warm. So I'm happy. For the match preparations, we have been training since Wednesday. We want to show our best performance," said Yeom on the same occasion.

In addition, the Director of the Fund Management and Sports Business Agency (LPDUK), which is a Public Service Agency (BLU) under the Ministry of Youth and Sports (Kemenpora) of the Republic of Indonesia, Ferdinan Kamariki Tangkudung, also added that the bonus will be given through the MVP (Most Valuable Player) title.  

"We feel grateful that LPDUK can hold this fun volleyball event. 11,500 tickets were sold. The plan is to close ticket sales tomorrow morning," Ferdinan concluded.
