Legendary musician Ahmad Albar speaks out about the legal case that has ensnared his son, Fachri Albar, for the third time, involving several types of illegal substances.
Fachri Albar was re-established as a suspect in the drug case on April 22, 2025. He was secured at his home in South Jakarta around 8:00 PM WIB.
As a father, Ahmad feels devastated to see his son once again dealing with legal issues. However, he continues to show support as a responsible parent.
"Yes, as parents with children, of course we don't like this incident, but what can we do? We have to continue to take care of it," said Ahmad Albar when met in the Kalibata area, South Jakarta, Wednesday (7/5/2025).
The vocalist of the band Godbless is not staying silent and hopes that the legal process his son is undergoing can lead to rehabilitation. He wants Fachri to receive better treatment. "I hope everything goes more smoothly and he gets good rehab," he said.
On that occasion, vocalist Achmad Albar also confirmed that Fachry's condition in detention is good. He felt relieved after having met his son in person. "I have (met Fachry). We had a chance to talk," said Ahmad Albar.
At the time of the arrest, Fachri was found to be alone. The police discovered a number of pieces of evidence related to narcotics of various types, including meth, marijuana, cocaine, and alprazolam.
The secured evidence includes one package of meth weighing a gross of 0.65 grams, one package of marijuana weighing 1.11 grams, two rolled joints of marijuana weighing 0.94 grams, cocaine weighing 3.96 grams, and 27 pills of alprazolam.
For his actions, Fachri is charged with multiple articles, namely Article 111 paragraph 1 and Article 112 paragraph 1 of the Narcotics Law, as well as Article 62 of the Psychotropic Law. He faces a minimum prison sentence of four years and a maximum of 12 years.
