Aliff Alli Claims to Never Have Known Nuning Irpana, Requests Marriage Cancellation

Kapanlagi.com - The latest development comes from the isbat marriage trial and divorce application filed by Aliff Alli. In the evidence presentation session held today (11/5/2021), it was revealed that the Malaysian actor has filed for marriage cancellation with Nuning Irpana.

This was confirmed by Jajat, the Public Relations Officer of the Central Jakarta Religious Court. In an interview with the media, he stated that Aliff had filed the cancellation through his legal representative at the end of April.

"His legal representative registered the marriage cancellation on April 27, 2021, and the case has not been heard yet. Based on the information received, the case will be heard on May 17, 2021," said Jajat at his office.

As is known, the marriage of Aliff Alli and Nuning Irpana was recorded at the Cilandak Office of Religious Affairs in November 2011, which is located in South Jakarta. So, can the cancellation of the marriage be filed at the Central Jakarta Religious Court?

"What is clear is that this falls under the jurisdiction of the Central Jakarta Religious Court. After the trial, the panel will enter the jurisdiction of the Central Jakarta Religious Court to settle or not. It will be measured based on Article 25 of the Marriage Law of 1974. If it turns out that the Central Jakarta Religious Court does not have jurisdiction, the case will be declared NO (Niet Ontvankelijke Verklaard). If it has jurisdiction, the process will continue until it is resolved," Jajat continued.

2. Will Nuning Irpana be Present in the Trial?

In the upcoming first trial, it is not yet known whether Nuning Irpana will be present. However, the court will summon both parties, the petitioner and the respondent.

"Whether they come or not is up to the parties. But the court is obligated to summon the parties. If the petitioner or respondent is present at the trial, it is entirely up to them," Jajat concluded.
