Allan Hant Represents Millennials to Promote Malay Pop

Kapanlagi.com - After bringing many singers and music groups to success, such as Wali Band and Kangen Band, now Positif Art is launching a new singer named Allan Hant.

Allan Hant officially released his debut single titled Masih Cinta, composed by Simon, with Malay Pop genre on Friday (26/2/2021).

"So far, we have had Wali Band, Kangen, and others who have strong roots and have proven to exist for more than two decades. Next, we need someone who remains rooted in Malay pop but adjusted to the current conditions, and Allan fulfills all those criteria," said Positif Art owner, Sujana, or affectionately called Omjana, at Hard Rock Cafe South Jakarta, on Sunday (28/2/2021).

1. Can Reap Success

Sujana is confident that Allan can reap success. The current music industry conditions affected by the Covid-19 pandemic do not dampen the spirit of Positif Art to promote Allan Hant.

"For us, it is important to keep moving. Allah obliges us to make an effort, rather than staying passive and resigned to the situation," he said.

2. Feeling Proud to be Trusted

Meanwhile, Allan Hant feels proud to be trusted as a representative of the millennial generation to sing Malay songs. He sees that not many young people dare to bring new breakthroughs by singing Malay songs.

"Millennials rarely listen to Malay songs, and honestly, I rarely listened to Malay songs before, but I have an interest in Malay songs. When I was given a Malay song, I was surprised, but I really enjoyed it," said Allan Hant.

3. Hoping to be a Connector for Millennials

Allan Hant hopes that his debut single can be a connector for millennials to realize that Malay music genre is also cool to be sung.

"I am someone who enjoys all kinds of music, so I hope that young people nowadays are not afraid to show what they like. Because it gives the impression that Malay songs are cheesy, but they're not," said Allan Hant.
