Singer and songwriter Amanda Caesa once again showcases her musical exploration through her latest single titled Trouble. The song, officially released on September 26, features a blend of bossa nova, jazz, and pop, genres that she rarely showcases before. Trouble tells the story of someone trapped in a toxic relationship, a one-sided obsession that is hard to let go of due to the inner struggle between logic and feelings.
"Trouble tells the story of someone who is trapped in a toxic relationship, shaped by a one-sided obsession towards their partner, yet it is difficult to break free because there is an inner struggle between the mind that wants to stop and the heart that still hopes," Amanda explained.
The solo artist, born on December 23, revealed that the inspiration for the song came from personal experiences and stories around her. "I admit I have been in the same phase and I believe I am not the only one who experiences it," she continued.
The creative process of Trouble was done by Amanda together with musician and producer Syahravi Dewanda. The two wrote this song in just one day through a workshop that started with a casual jamming session. Bossa nova was chosen because Amanda felt this genre suited her vocal character.
"It was perfect timing, as I was really into songs sung by Laufey and admired her way of conveying emotions through simple lyrics that have deep meanings. That made me want to try something more experimental, yet still personal," she said.
