Amid the Pandemic, Designer Adjie Notonegoro Shares Groceries with the Less Fortunate

"We held a caring event called Roemah Lumbung Adjie Notonegoro where we distributed groceries and went around. Our goal is to give blessings, blessings from God that we receive, to those in need," said Adjie Notonegoro in Pondok Gede, Bekasi, on Sunday (20/9/2020).

1. New Beginning

This marks the beginning of Adjie Notonegoro going down the streets to distribute basic necessities to the community. Later on, he will do the same thing with a larger quantity than before.

"This is from me personally, there are many people who are unemployed due to layoffs. Initially, it was 50 people because it happened suddenly. Later on, there will be more," he said.

2. Prioritize Those in Need

Adjie Notonegoro distributed 50 packages containing rice, cooking oil, sugar, coffee, and many more. The main target is people who work on a daily basis.

"So there's rice, cooking oil, soap, shampoo, sugar, coffee, Indomie, basically basic necessities. We give them to pedicab drivers, scavengers. Later on, when things get better, we will also help struggling artists, those who have been forgotten," he said.

3. Inspiring Actions

Through this social action, the uncle of artist Ivan Gunawan also hopes that others can follow his actions. "Yes, this is so that friends are moved in their hearts to be like this. We receive blessings from God, so we give to others," Adjie Notonegoro concluded.

4. Not Affected

Grateful in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, Adjie Notonegoro admitted that he was not affected by it. In addition to sharing, he even dared to open a restaurant called Roemah Lumbung.

"Personally, I am not affected, instead we opened a restaurant in Galaxy and later in Menteng. It's different, that's why I care and our team helps," said Adjie Notonegoro.

"Yes, everything is thanks to God. There's nothing wrong with me being a fashion designer and making this. At first, I cooked, and the children said the food was delicious," he added.

5. Franchise Rumah Makan

Not only in Galaxy and Menteng, Roemah Lumbung restaurant will also open in Manado. Adjie Notonegoro is opening a franchise for anyone who wants to use his trademark.

"Now we have one of our franchises in Manado," he said.

Through the Roemah Lumbung business, Adjie Notonegoro wants to provide delicious food at affordable prices. "So, the prices are affordable. Suitable for millennial children too," Adjie Notonegoro concluded.
