Ammar Zoni was arrested by the police in his apartment in the Serpong area, Tangerang on December 12, 2023, Tuesday night. From the arrest, the police secured evidence in the form of two types of drugs.
The police are still investigating the drug case involving Ammar Zoni. After conducting further investigation, the police managed to arrest another person who is suspected to be the supplier of the illegal substance to Ammar Zoni.
"Our team in the development of Ammar Zoni's case successfully arrested the drug supplier given to Ammar Zoni, with the initials AK," said AKBP Indrawienny Panjiyoga, the Head of Narcotics Division of West Jakarta Metropolitan Police, when met at his office on Thursday (14/12).
Indrawienny explained that this person was arrested in the Ancol area. When raided, he mentioned that the suspected supplier had tried to escape.
"This person was arrested in the Ancol area when he was about to escape last night," he said.
But fortunately, the police managed to thwart it. After that, the police conducted further development and found another piece of evidence in the form of a package of marijuana.
"However, he was successfully captured by our team and our team pushed him into his boarding house, and found 1 package of marijuana in his possession, inside the boarding house," he added.
Until now, Indrawienny Panjiyoga said that the drug case involving Ammar Zoni is still under investigation.
