Actor Ammar Zoni has once again attracted public attention after it was revealed that he was temporarily transferred from Karang Anyar Nusakambangan Prison to Jakarta Narcotics Prison in Cipinang. The transfer of the former husband of Irish Bella was carried out for the sake of the ongoing trial process in Jakarta.

This confirmation was conveyed by the Public Relations of the Directorate General of Corrections, Rika Aprianti, when met at her office in Central Jakarta on Monday (15/12). She emphasized that this step was in accordance with procedures and through careful consideration.

Rika mentioned that Ammar Zoni arrived at Jakarta Narcotics Prison on Saturday afternoon after being dispatched from Nusakambangan since the morning under tight escort.

"Yes, yes, that's right. As we have also conveyed to the media colleagues, Ammar Zoni has been temporarily transferred from Karang Anyar Nusakambangan Prison to Jakarta Narcotics Prison (Cipinang). Yesterday, Saturday, around 6:00 PM Western Indonesian Time, he arrived at Jakarta Narcotics Prison," Rika stated.

The transfer was carried out involving the Central Jakarta District Attorney, Metro Police, and officers from Karang Anyar Nusakambangan Prison as a form of maximum security.

"We received information from the Head of Karang Anyar Prison around 11:00 AM. Together with the responsible party from the Central Jakarta District Attorney, with the Metro Police escort and also accompanied by officers from Karang Anyar Prison itself," Rika explained.

Upon arriving in Cipinang, Ammar Zoni immediately underwent a series of examinations, starting from administration to health checks, before finally being placed in a special room.

Rika emphasized that the placement status of Irish Bella's ex-husband in the Jakarta Narcotics Prison is temporary and will only last as long as the trial process is needed.

"As per the decision letter from the Director General, in response to the letter of request from the Head of the Central Jakarta District Attorney's Office, the placement is temporary until the trial," he said.

"If there are no more trials, then he must return and serve his sentence there," he concluded.
