Andi Bachtiar's Complaint After His Divorce Petition Was Rejected by the Religious Court - Already Divorced Three Times

Kapanlagi.com - Andi W. Bachtiar, Tasya Kamila's father-in-law, filed for divorce against his wife named Siti Rahmah. Through social media, Andi Bachtiar shared with the public that he wanted to separate from his wife.

However, apparently the divorce petition was not accepted by the Religious Court. This made Andi Bachtiar confused because his petition was rejected.

Shortly after that, Tasya Kamila's father-in-law finally realized and admitted that he had violated the provisions that led to the rejection of his divorce petition. Andi Bachtiar revealed that he did not use a lawyer from the beginning to file for divorce.

1. Do Not Use a Lawyer

"The divorce application in March 2023 at the Religious Court was not granted. The appeal at the High Religious Court was also not granted. Even though there is already a lot of strong evidence, but I did make the application letter using the application from the Religious Court's website and browsing Google without using a lawyer from the beginning," said Andi Bachtiar in his Instagram post.

"It turns out to be a big mistake. Even though the application is strong, from the first step, it should be done with a lawyer," he continued.

2. Already Divorced Three Times

Tasya Kamila's father-in-law does not deny that he has divorced his wife three times. According to Islamic law, this has resulted in his and Siti Rahma's divorce. However, in order to process the divorce legally, Andi Bachtiar must fulfill two requirements.

"If the triple divorce has been done and there is a video of it, then the divorce is already valid according to Islamic law. It's just a matter of dealing with it at the Religious Court after fulfilling the following two conditions. First, not living apart for 6 months. Second, not providing financial support physically and emotionally for 12 months. It's truly a long journey," he explained.
