Andre Taulany's Party Claims the Children Also Want Immediate Clarity on Their Status

Andre Taulany's party denies the news stating that Andre and Erin's children hope their parents can reconcile. After the mediation session held at the South Jakarta Religious Court on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, Andre's attorney, Galih Rakasiwi, emphasized that the children actually want clarity regarding their parents' status.

According to Galih, Andre Taulany himself never involved the children in his divorce matters with Erin. He mentioned that although the family situation is not good, Andre still ensures that the children do not become part of the household conflict.

"No. It's not like that. So the children in this matter are not involved in household affairs. Regardless of what the mother says to the children, that is the concern of the respondent. But in this case, the petitioner absolutely does not want to mix the household affairs of the parents with the children," said Galih after the trial.

He added that Andre's children are old enough to make their own decisions and understand the situation their parents are facing.

"The children are grown, they can decide who to go to, and now they can be with their mother or their father, they are indifferent to that. So maybe they are used to it, as Mr. Andre said, they are used to seeing things like this. But in this case, they need certainty about what it is like. So they support more towards what it is like, but not towards reconciliation. So the children are not involved at all in this matter," explained Galih.

When asked about the impact of the unresolved household situation on the children, Galih mentioned that they now actually feel tired of the unclear family status.

"Yes, I just said that, so the children also, if earlier they asked about it, children need certainty. If from Mr. Andre himself, it's the same; Mr. Andre also needs certainty in this matter. Don't let it be left hanging, it seems like it's just dragging on the time, you know," Galih expressed.

He also highlighted the attitude of Erin's side, who have been absent several times from the hearings, causing the legal process to drag on. "Whether it takes a week, two weeks, three weeks, how long will it go on like this? That's why the panel earlier took a stance to ensure, please ensure with the legal representative of the respondent what it will be like. Don't let it drag on indefinitely, so how long will it go on like this without certainty, coming or not, saying they will come but actually don’t," he said.

Galih emphasized that both Andre and the children now want the divorce process to find clarity soon and not drag on without certainty. "At least that's it, Mr. Andre has been very patient, very good to come here, he said he would come but didn't come like that. We need certainty, you know, something clear like that," he concluded.
