Andrew Andika Conditional Release, Lawyer: Total Assessment Is Clean

Kapanlagi.com - Actor Andrew Andika is now officially making a comeback to the entertainment world after being declared conditionally released from a drug case. According to his lawyer, Ricci Chandra, Andrew has undergone rehabilitation and has been declared clean of drug substances.

Ricci emphasized that his client only used drugs once and that was just half a pill of ecstasy. Ricci stated that Andrew was only involved in a drug party with five of his friends in West Jakarta, and this was Andrew's first experience with drugs.

"Yes, clearly because he was only given one of those ecstasy pills and he used it once, and it happened the night before the arrest," Ricci explained at the Cibinong Religious Court (PA), Bogor, Wednesday (6/11/2024).

1. Declared Clean

After undergoing rehabilitation, Andrew is now declared clean. Ricci confirmed that based on the results of the rehabilitation examination, his client showed no dependence on drugs. Nevertheless, Andrew is still required to undergo outpatient treatment to ensure his health is well monitored.

"Overall or the assessment is that he is totally clean. Because Andrew is not a drug addict, he was just influenced by his friends that night, just that one night, he used the illegal drug once," said Ricci.

Andrew Andika was declared free from the rehabilitation center on October 31, 2024. Ricci explained that Andrew had undergone one month of inpatient treatment, and now still has to undergo two months of outpatient treatment. During the outpatient period, Andrew is required to visit the rehabilitation center every two weeks to check on his health.

2. Not an Addict

According to Ricci, Andrew initially felt uncomfortable refusing his friend's invitation on the night of the party. Although they had just met, Andrew eventually consumed ecstasy.

"Of course (not an addict) because he was only given one of those ecstasy pills, and he used it just once, and that was the night before the arrest. Well, our client is not stressed; he just felt uncomfortable with his friend. He had just met that friend too," he said.

In the midst of the rehabilitation and recovery process, Andrew received support from his wife, Tengku Dewi. Ricci stated that Tengku Dewi remained loyal in accompanying and caring for Andrew, even though the couple is undergoing a divorce process.

"That’s why I am also amazed by Tengku Dewi, even though there are these divorce issues. She puts all of that aside. She continues to help and support our client," said Ricci.
