Anji Officially Declared a Suspect in Drug Abuse Case Involving Marijuana

Kapanlagi.com - Erdian Aji Prihartanto alias Anji has been officially declared a suspect by the police for the case of drug abuse of marijuana. This was announced by the Head of Narcotics Division of West Jakarta Metropolitan Police, Akbp Ronaldo Maradona Siregar.

Previously, the singer of the song 'Dia' was arrested by the police at his studio in Cibubur area last Friday. At that time, Anji was alone in the studio.

Several pieces of evidence were seized from the arrest, including marijuana and two mobile phones.

"EAP alias Anji has been declared a suspect for the abuse of marijuana," said Ronaldo Maradona Siregar, on Tuesday (15/6).

Before being declared a suspect, the former vocalist of Drive has undergone various examinations, both health and urine tests. For his health, Anji was declared healthy and negative for the Covid-19 virus.

As for the urine test, it tested positive for THC. THC itself is Tetrahydrocannabinol, also known as marijuana.

The police have also received the results from the forensic laboratory of the Indonesian National Police Headquarters regarding the evidence found, which is marijuana. Based on the results of the lab, Anji was finally declared a suspect.

"This means that the urine test results of EAP and ANJ are positive for THC, and the evidence found is marijuana, so it is consistent that the person has consumed marijuana," he said.

Until now, the West Jakarta Metropolitan Police are still investigating the case involving the former vocalist of Drive. In the near future, the police will hold a press conference and provide more detailed explanations.

After conducting further investigations, there are 2 locations, namely Cibubur and Bandung. From these two places, the police found evidence of marijuana.

"So I appreciate the person involved for being very cooperative in undergoing the examination process by the investigator," he concluded.
