Anwar BAB Reveals Memorable Experience During Umrah, Received 10 Million Rupiah - Directly Given to His Mother

Anwar BAB has just completed the Umrah pilgrimage and experienced an extraordinary spiritual journey. This time, he traveled with his mother on a trip that felt more personal and memorable. The departure was initially planned with his father, but in the end, only Anwar, his mother, and his nephew went.

"The journey was really enjoyable. It was truly amazing because it was really private. My mom was there, my nephew was there. Originally, this was supposed to be with dad, but since dad has done Umrah several times, he said, 'Okay, I won't go this time, just take those who haven't been.' Dad prefers to go for Hajj," Anwar said when met in the Tendean area, South Jakarta, on Friday (14/2/2025).

During the umrah, his mother gave a lot of advice for Anwar to make better use of his time for worship. "Yesterday really brought me closer to mom. Because mom always reminds me, since I only do the obligatory prayers. Mom always reminds me, 'Don't forget the sunnah prayers, dhuhah, tahajjud, morning dhikr, evening dhikr, because if you do it repeatedly, the reward is five times.' So mom said, 'You've come all the way from Indonesia, make the most of it, if you can, don't sleep, don't play around too much,'" he said.

One of the most memorable experiences for Anwar was when he was in Raudhah, an area inside the Nabawi Mosque that is believed to be a garden of paradise. There, he felt an incredible ease while worshiping.

"What makes it different is that I did umrah with my mom. It felt like being guided, like it was very private where to go, where to go, and there were so many conveniences," he said.

"Well, over there people had already been asked to leave, and I was praying, yes, I was praying there, 'why am I not being asked to leave,' even until it was empty. So people were just watching me pray around. That's why when I finished praying, I looked around (to the right and left), and then I was awakened and it was very nice, like 'hajj, hajj,' like that. That's why I immediately cried Masya Allah, I was given the opportunity and it was exactly next to the Prophet's grave," he said.

When he was in a place that he believed was mustajab (a place where prayers are answered) for praying, Anwar felt confused because he was too moved. "So I was gently stroking like that, then praying there, they say whoever prays there, that is a very mustajab place for us to ask for prayers. Because it's a garden of paradise, and it can also be ensured that if we are about to pray there, it will be answered by Allah immediately, that's why when I got there, I was very excited, like I didn’t know what to pray for, like, 'oh I feel blank just to be in that place, I'm confused, 'oh what else should I pray for,' and so on," he revealed.

This Umrah he undertook coincided with the transition from the cold to hot season. According to him, at that time the number of pilgrims arriving was almost like during the Hajj season. "So when I was doing Umrah, it was during the high season, really the change between winter, and I was going into summer. It was really the community. From various parts of the world, Umrah has become like Hajj," he said.

However, he experienced an unexpected event when he was about to perform Tawaf at Masjidil Haram. "I was looking from my room. My room has a view directly to Masjidil Haram, so I was looking around, 'Oh how do I do Tawaf, how do I perform Umrah'. But when I got there, it was empty. Empty. I was like, this is Masya Allah," he said in amazement.

While in the Holy Land, Anwar also experienced various unexpected events. He claimed to often receive kind treatment from people there. "And many people were kind to me there, I don’t know why, suddenly I was at the market and given dates, given food, given drinks," he said.

However, what was most surprising was when someone suddenly handed him an envelope filled with a large amount of money. "Then suddenly there was someone, I don’t know if they were Indonesian or Arab. Suddenly, they gave me a brown envelope containing 10 million, 'for Anwar' they said, then I immediately gave it to my mom. 'This is for mom'," he revealed.
