Kapanlagi.com - Anwar BAB has a new dream in the entertainment world. After succeeding as a presenter and comedian, he now wants to dive into acting, especially in horror films. Although he admits to being afraid of ghosts, he is curious to try a role in that genre.
"I want to act in a film. I’m afraid of ghosts. I want to act in a film that has ghosts in it. Because the other day at Transmedia, we made a mini film like that," said Anwar when met in the Tendean area, South Jakarta, recently.
"It turns out I watched it, and I got testimonials from the crew friends who edited it, 'Wow, you acted well,'" he continued.
Interestingly, he admitted that he didn't really act in that mini film project. "That wasn’t acting. It was like I was really scared, right? Then I started thinking, fantasizing. If this were made into a film, it means Anwar's acting would be like this, not too bad. And I'm not scared, right?" he added.
Anwar felt that his performance in the mini film was quite promising. He became even more confident that he could star in a horror film without having to pretend to be scared.
"I can assess that. It's funny. And I see it like, exciting, right? Wow, that's good," he said.
In addition, Anwar also reminisced about his struggles before becoming famous. He revealed that the most difficult job for him was being a presenter.
"The hardest part is being a presenter. Before I became an artist, being a presenter was difficult for me. Because a presenter has to arrange words for the continuity to the next event," he explained.

He also admitted to idolizing several senior presenters such as Olga Syahputra, Ruben Onsu, Coki Sitohang, and Augie Fantinus.
"They make events like... You know. You feel like, wow, that's really hard. Really hard. And it turns out that it needs to be learned," said Anwar.
According to him, being a presenter is not just about speaking in front of the camera, but also requires broad insight.
"We need to socialize a lot, read many books, print media, social media, we need to stay updated. Because when we discuss an event, we know, we can't skip it," he explained.
Now, after succeeding as a presenter and comedian, Anwar is ready to explore the world of acting.
"God willing, hopefully in the future I can act in films. Because I'm scared of ghosts, maybe the genre could be horror films. Maybe I won't need to act, just be genuinely scared," he said.
