Before becoming famous as an artist, Anwar apparently worked as a salesman during his college years around 2015. Unfortunately, he had an unpleasant experience while working as a salesman.

He is known to have been spat on by an unknown person while working to introduce his products in a mall. Of course, this surprised him.

"When I was in my third or fifth semester of college, I worked as a salesperson for adult diapers in a mall. Then, when there was an event for a product in the mall, I had to wear diapers. I really went around the malls in Jakarta," said Anwar as quoted by Insertlive.

"Then, maybe because I was making a lot of noise wearing a microphone, and I looked like a layered cake with a red shirt and yellow pants while selling adult diapers, there was a man who scolded me and spat on me saying 'shut up!'"," he continued.

Not only that, he also had to walk home after finishing shooting a television program. At that time, he thought he would be paid immediately after the program ended, but it turned out not to be the case.

"I have also participated in a TV show because I resemble the late Olga. I thought I would be paid right away, but it turned out I haven't been paid and I didn't have any money. So, I ended up walking from Cawang to Cibubur. Just imagine, after finishing shooting at one in the morning from Cawang to Cibubur at four in the morning," he recalled.

Although experiencing a bitter situation, Anwar remains grateful because that incident taught him many things, especially not to forget himself when he has succeeded like now.

"Allah gave Anwar a lesson, maybe through that incident, so that when we succeed, when we achieve something, we know where it comes from," he concluded.
