Appeal Against 4-Year Sentence, Nikita Mirzani Officially Submits Appeal Memorandum

The legal process faced by artist Nikita Mirzani has entered a new chapter. After being sentenced to 4 years in prison and fined Rp1 billion, Nikita Mirzani's side has officially submitted an appeal memorandum to the South Jakarta District Court as a form of resistance.

This step follows the appeal statement that was registered on November 3, 2025. The submission of the appeal memorandum made on Monday (11/10/2025) marks Nikita's seriousness in seeking justice at a higher court level.

As is known, the verdict was handed down in a case reported by cosmetic doctor, Reza Gladys. This case itself began with extortion allegations that ultimately led to charges of violating Article 27B paragraph 2 of the ITE Law in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code.

The South Jakarta District Court through the Young Criminal Registrar, Muhammad Yusuf Shalahuddin, directly confirmed the submission of the documents when met in his office.

"And today the defendant's legal counsel submitted a memorandum of appeal," said Muhammad Yusuf Shalahuddin.

For the public who are not familiar, the submission of a memorandum of appeal is a different stage from the statement of appeal. If the statement of appeal is merely a declaration of intent, then the memorandum of appeal is a legal document containing complete arguments.

The public relations officer of the South Jakarta District Court, Asrofi, explained that the entire objections, reasons, and legal basis of the appellant are detailed in the appeal memorandum.

"Yesterday was just a statement, yes. If now it is already the memorandum, it must be complete with the contents of that memorandum," explained Asrofi.

However, the court cannot detail the points of objection raised by Nikita Mirzani's legal team because that is part of the case material.

With the submission of this appeal memorandum, the next step is for the court to notify the Public Prosecutor (JPU) to provide an opportunity to respond.
