Designated as a Suspect, Police Reveal Complete Chronology of the Arrest of Actor Epy Kusnandar and Yogi Gamblez

Kapanlagi.com - The West Jakarta Metro Police revealed the case of the arrest of actor Epy Kusnandar and Yogi Gamblez related to the alleged abuse of marijuana. The two actors were arrested at Kalibata City Apartment, South Jakarta, on Thursday night, May 9, 2024.

The West Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Kombes Pol Syahduddi, explained the chronology of the arrest of Epy and Yogi in a press conference at the West Jakarta Metro Police on Friday, May 17, 2024.

Syahduddi mentioned that the arrest began from a public report regarding the circulation of narcotics in the Palmerah area, West Jakarta.

"From the investigation, information was obtained that the suspects were living in the Kalibata City apartment, Pancoran, South Jakarta. The team then headed to that location and found that the suspect with the initials YG was residing in the Kalibata City Apartment. Subsequently, the team conducted an arrest and a search of YG's apartment unit," said Syahduddi at the West Jakarta Metro Police, Friday (17/5/2024).

"From the search results, evidence was found in the form of 1 plastic clip containing narcotics in the form of dried marijuana leaves weighing a gross of 4.18 grams that had not yet been seized by the police, located in a mayonnaise glass bottle stored in the refrigerator. Then, 1 plastic clip containing narcotics in the form of marijuana seeds weighing a gross of 8.16 grams, as well as 3 packs of rolling papers," added Syahduddi.

1. Caught at the Warung

During the search, and finding several pieces of evidence, the police then arrested Epy Kusnandar at the warung where he was selling.

"Next, the team arrested brother EK at the warung where brother EK was selling," said Syahduddi.

According to Yogi Gamblez's confession, he had given Epy Kusnandar a joint of marijuana on March 20, 2024. This was done because Epy often asked Yogi for marijuana.

"Next, the team arrested brother EK at the warung where brother EK was selling," continued Syahduddi.

2. Admits to Bringing One Joint of Marijuana

When the search was conducted on Epy, the police found no evidence. However, Epy admitted to Yogi's statement regarding the one joint of marijuana that he requested.

"EK confirmed YG's statement that on March 20, 2024, when EK was about to smoke, he found one joint of marijuana in his cigarette pack. Then EK consumed it the next day, March 21, 2024, around 04:00 WIB," he said.

Syahduddi added that currently, Epy and Yogi have been designated as suspects. Both have also undergone urine tests, and the results were positive for marijuana.

"Both results were positive for THC. Then the two suspects along with the evidence were taken to the West Jakarta Metro Police for further investigation," concluded Syahduddi.
