Kapanlagi.com - West Jakarta Metro Police revealed the arrest case of actor Epy Kusnandar and Yogi Gamblez related to the alleged abuse of marijuana. Both actors were arrested at Kalibata City Apartment, South Jakarta, on Thursday night, May 9, 2024.
West Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Commissioner Pol Syahduddi, explained the chronology of Epy and Yogi's arrest in a press conference at West Jakarta Metro Police on Friday, May 17, 2024.
Syahduddi mentioned that the arrest began from public reports regarding the circulation of narcotics in the Palmerah area, West Jakarta.
"From the investigation, it was obtained that the perpetrators lived in Kalibata City Apartment, Pancoran, South Jakarta. Then the team went to the location and found the suspect with the initials YG living in Kalibata City Apartment. Subsequently, the team carried out the arrest and search of YG's apartment unit," said Syahduddi at West Jakarta Metro Police, Friday (17/5/2024).
"From the search results, evidence was found in the form of 1 plastic clip containing dry marijuana leaves with a gross weight of 4.18 grams, which the police have not seized, stored in a mayonnaise glass bottle in the refrigerator. Then 1 plastic clip containing marijuana seeds with a gross weight of 8.16 grams, and 3 packs of paper," added Syahduddi.
In the search, and finding several pieces of evidence, the police then arrested Epy Kusnandar at the stall where he was selling.
"Then the team arrested Mr. EK at the stall where Mr. EK was selling," said Syahduddi.
According to Yogi Gamblez's confession, he had given Epy Kusnandar one marijuana joint on March 20, 2024. This was done because Epy often asked Yogi for marijuana.
"Then the team arrested Mr. EK at the stall where Mr. EK was selling," Syahduddi continued.
During the search of Epy, the police did not find any evidence. However, Epy admitted to Yogi's statement about one marijuana joint he had requested.
"EK confirms YG's statement that on March 20, 2024, when EK was about to smoke, he found one marijuana joint in his cigarette pack. Then EK consumed it the next day on March 21, 2024, around 04:00 AM," he said.
Syahduddi added that Epy and Yogi have now been designated as suspects. Both have also undergone urine tests and the results were positive for marijuana.
"Both tested positive for THC. Then both suspects, along with the evidence, were taken to the West Jakarta Metro Police for further investigation," concluded Syahduddi.
