Raffi Ahmad was appointed by Hary Tanoesoedibjo, as the Chairman of PB POBSI as the Brand Ambassador of Indonesian Billiards and Chairman of the PB POBSI Artists Development Department. Hary Tanoesoedibjo admitted that the reason for appointing Nagita Slavina's husband was because of his figure, which is considered capable of attracting public interest to enliven the sport of billiards.
"The presence of Mas Raffi Ahmad is expected to increase interest in billiards in the country," said Hary Tanoesoedibjo during the launch of the Indonesia International Open 2024 billiards tournament in the Kebon Sirih area, Jakarta, on Tuesday (5/12/2023).
It is known that Raffi Ahmad does have many followers on Instagram. That is what Hary Tanoesoedibjo sees as one potential to boost the popularity of billiards, so that the sport can echo again and be played by many.
"This artist is a bait, he has many followers. Mas Raffi has nearly 74 million Instagram followers, and that is a large number," said Hary Tanoesoedibjo.

The father of two children admitted to being happy about his appointment as the Head of Artist Development Division of PB POBSI. Moreover, billiards is not something new and he wants to contribute to the development of billiards in the country.
"Actually, I have known billiards since junior high school and high school. I used to play casually, not seriously," said Raffi Ahmad.
One of the steps that Raffi Ahmad will take is to schedule a celebrity billiards tournament. As has been done before, such as tennis and others.
"In the near future, I have also talked about it, because it's the end of the year, so I'm preparing at the beginning of the year to create a billiards sports event," explained Raffi Ahmad.
"What I know is that many artist friends or influencers are really interested in billiards. In fact, many of them have their own billiard tables, like Baim Wong, Atta Halilintar, Rizky Billar, Anji, Judika. It's very possible if they are combined and create an exhibition fun match," concluded Raffi Ahmad.
