On January 30, 2025, Agnez Mo was found guilty by the Central Jakarta Commercial Court for performing the song 'Bilang Saja' without permission from its creator, Ari Bias. As a result, the hit singer must pay a fine of Rp 1.5 billion as compensation.
However, Agnez did not stay silent, she immediately filed a cassation and expressed her disappointment regarding the interpretation of the Copyright Law which she deemed detrimental to her.

According to an exclusive interview with Liputan6.com via phone on Wednesday (19/2/2025), Ari Bias admitted that he was not surprised by Agnez Mo's cassation.
"Regarding her filing for cassation, I had already predicted that. We have prepared the strategy and are ready to face it. I have heard information that AM will file for cassation. That means she will create her cassation memorandum and we are waiting for that to happen," explained Ari Bias.

He has also watched Agnez Mo's podcast discussing this case and even visited the Ministry of Law. Ari Bias responded casually.
"I have seen her podcast. Now I hear that she is at the Ministry of Law of the Republic of Indonesia. It's fine, no problem. This is her struggle against the judge's decision," he said.

It is known that in a podcast with Deddy Corbuzier, Agnez Mo explained about the law and her views on the fine of IDR 1.5 billion for singing the song 'Bilang Saja' without permission. She and her team have now filed for cassation.
"Maybe she is looking for public support. Maybe. I don't know," she said. "After that podcast went viral, I had a normal conversation with Bang Minola. Regarding legal steps after the other party held the podcast, there is none," added Ari Bias.

"The judge's decision has been made, right? I have given everything I have, from witnesses, arguments, to evidence. I have submitted everything to the first-level court. I just need to defend it at the cassation level later," she said.
Currently, this issue is still ongoing and has not found a clear resolution. Furthermore, Ari Bias and the legal team will study Agnez Mo's cassation once it is issued.
