The love story of Arie Kriting and Indah Permatasari began from their introduction in the movie STIP & PENSIL. At that time, Indah Permatasari was still very young, only 18 years old. Acting together in this film, Indah Permatasari played the role of a high school student. Meanwhile, Arie Kriting portrayed the character of Mr. RT. However, at that time, Arie Kriting explained that he had no interest or liking towards Indah Permatasari at all.

She holds my hand because she is still 18 years old, what can we expect, nothing," he explained.

During the filming, Arie Kriting also introduced his father to Indah Permatasari. The meeting between the artist and Arie Kriting's father went quite well. In fact, Indah Permatasari jokingly referred to herself as a prospective daughter-in-law.
"Yes, sir, this is your future daughter-in-law. Actually, it was just a joke. And then the father was very happy. Arie's father was overjoyed, maybe in his heart, he approved it and granted it," said Indah Permatasari.

After that film, they lost contact for a while. Until finally, they were reunited in the film JOMBLO (Single). At that time, Indah Permatasari was already 20 years old. However, Arie Kriting's feelings remained the same, there was no liking or attraction. Unlike the previous film, this time they had more scenes together. They played college students in the same campus. In addition, they talked more often, especially because they came from the same region.
"Playing the role of college students, same campus with her (Indah). But we were just friends, there were no strange feelings. Back then, because we had many scenes together, our chemistry was good, we talked a lot. We ate Makassar food. At that time, I saw that she didn't have any feelings at all, just a connection," explained Arie Kriting.

"We went on a date, hanging out until 8 p.m. When we went home, I held her hand. I asked, are you serious? Well, let's just go for it," said Indah Permatasari.
