Ariel NOAH Reveals the Reason Raffi Ahmad Donated Rp 350 Million to Indonesian Band Crew

Kapanlagi.com - Amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, the band NOAH held a special auction of the Gold Edition Vinyl from the album Keterkaitan Keterikatan on their 8th anniversary on September 16, 2020.

The NOAH Special Gold Edition Vinyl was eventually won by Raffi Ahmad for Rp 260 million. The proceeds from the auction will be given to the Indonesian Band Crew community affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

1. Raffi Ahmad Donates a Total of Rp 350 Million

When NOAH visited Raffi Ahmad's residence to personally hand over their vinyl. It turns out Raffi Ahmad took the initiative to add another donation on behalf of RANS Entertainment amounting to Rp 50 million and his wife Nagita Slavina added Rp 40 million on behalf of their beloved child Rafathar. So, Raffi Ahmad and his family donated a total of Rp 350 million.

Ariel revealed the reason why Raffi Ahmad didn't hesitate to spend a considerable amount of money for this donation activity.

"According to him, while there is a close and certain output, Raffi said he really likes Indonesian music and doesn't listen to foreign music, haha. So, it seems very related to him, this industry. That's why maybe his good intention came from there. So, he and Gigi donated again," said Ariel during a virtual press conference on Wednesday (7/10).

2. Does NOAH Want to Make Another Donation?

Not only from Raffi Ahmad and his family, NOAH also managed to collect donations from several other people totaling Rp 700 million. The donation has been directly handed over to Road Manager Indonesia (RMI) who will distribute it to about 580 members.

"I'm very happy to see that there are still many who care. It is possible (to donate again) but so far there are no plans yet. Because we still have several projects to work on. Because it's not easy, it requires quite a lot of energy. So it won't be happening in the near future if we want to do it again," Ariel concluded.
