Two months after his release, actor Ammar Zoni was arrested again by the police. Once again, it was due to drug abuse. It is known that in early October 2023, Ammar Zoni was officially released from prison after being involved in a drug case for the second time.
According to the statement of West Jakarta Metro Police Chief Commissioner M Syahduddi, since his release from prison, Ammar Zoni admitted to having consumed drugs several times.
"Based on his confession after being released, within two months, he has used drugs several times. That's why he is classified as an addict," said M Syahduddi at the West Jakarta Metro Police Station on Friday (15/12/2023).
Ammar Zoni, in his statement to the police, admitted to using drugs again as a way to cope with the marital problems he is facing.
It is known that Ammar Zoni is currently going through a divorce process with Irish Bella at the Religious Court of Depok.
"The motive is to use it as a way to cope when he is facing marital problems," said M. Syahduddi.
According to Syahduddi, the drugs owned by Ammar were for personal consumption. The evidence seized from Ammar Zoni's arrest includes 4 packets of methamphetamine weighing 4.36 grams, 1 packet of marijuana weighing 1.32 grams, 1 pipe, 1 rolling paper, and 1 mobile phone.
"All drugs found in the apartment are for Ammar Zoni's personal consumption," said M Syahduddi.
Ammar Zoni was arrested on December 12, 2023, in an apartment in the BSD area, Tangerang. Urine test results showed that he tested positive for methamphetamine and marijuana.
For his actions, Ammar Zoni is charged with Article 112 paragraph 1 and Article 111 paragraph 1 in conjunction with Article 132 paragraph 1 of the Republic of Indonesia Law No.35 of 2009 concerning narcotics, with a minimum punishment of 4 years in prison or a minimum fine of one billion rupiah plus one-third.
