Arya Saloka Faces Major Challenges in the Film Dendam Malam Kelam, Trapped Between Two Women

Kapanlagi.com - Arya Saloka once again demonstrates his acting maturity through the latest film produced by Falcon Pictures titled DENDAM MALAM KELAM. In this thriller directed by Danial Rifki, Arya is entrusted with the role of Jefri Adam, a man trapped in an inner struggle between two important women in his life, Sofia (Marissa Anita) and Sarah (Davina Karamoy). For Arya Saloka, this role presents a unique challenge that he has not encountered in previous projects.

"This role is very challenging. The character I portray has a complex personality; he is at war not only with others but also with himself. During the shooting process, I was completely immersed in a dark and pressurized world," Arya revealed at the trailer and poster launch event at XXI Epicentrum, South Jakarta, Saturday (26/4).

The film DENDAM MALAM KELAM tells the story of trauma, guilt, and revenge that haunts the lives of the characters. Arya admitted to feeling nervous when he first had to act alongside two talented actresses, Marissa Anita and Davina Karamoy.

However, thanks to good cooperation during the reading and shooting process, Arya Saloka successfully built a strong chemistry with Marissa and Davina. "Thank God it wasn't difficult to build chemistry. They were very open and did not put up walls between us," he added.

1. Nervousness

This makes the atmosphere at the shooting location feel more comfortable and supports character development. The filming process went smoothly for Arya Saloka, even though he had to convey heavy emotions in every scene.

"They made it easy for me to become Jefri Adam. Although in terms of dialogue, Jefri is indeed very tense and pressured. Honestly, I felt nervous facing these two women. Because I am caught between black and white," he said.

The character Jefri is portrayed as living under pressure with his wife Sofia, and experiences a dramatic change with the arrival of Sarah in his life. Additionally, Arya also found personal similarities with Davina Karamoy, which strengthened their relationship off-screen. "I met Davina when she just returned from Umrah. So it connected because I have a business in travel, so I invited her along," Arya said while laughing.

The film DARK NIGHT OF VENGEANCE is not just an ordinary thriller, but also delves into the unhealed wounds of the soul. Director Danial Rifki explains this.

"DARK NIGHT OF VENGEANCE is not just a typical revenge story. It is about wounds that never heal, and how guilt can become a demon within a person," he explains.

With intense cinematography, chilling background music, and a plot full of surprises, this film is scheduled to be released simultaneously in cinemas across Indonesia on May 28, 2025.
