Entering a new chapter in her life as a single parent, actress Kimberly Ryder shows remarkable resilience. Despite facing various challenges, she remains focused on raising her two children while continuing her career in the entertainment industry.

Amid her busy schedule, the star of the film GET MARRIED admits to being grateful for still being able to balance her time between work and her role as a mother. The former wife of Edward Akbar even shares her morning routine, which always includes taking her child to school before starting other activities.

"Alhamdulillah I can still manage my time, like this morning I was able to take my child first, after that usually I have work in the afternoon, my mom picks me up," said Kimberly Ryder when met in the TB Simatupang area, South Jakarta, Wednesday (6/8/2025).

Kimberly does not deny that being a single parent comes with its own burdens that must be faced. However, she chooses not to dwell too much on the heaviness of those challenges and to go through it with a sense of gratitude.

"Yes, it has its weight, but don't think about the heaviness. Let's just enjoy it; all of this will be replaced by Allah, if not in this world, then in the hereafter," she said.

When asked about the source of her strength, this British-Indonesian actress firmly mentioned her children and her mother as her main pillars. She also expressed her gratitude for her mother's unwavering support. "What makes me strong are definitely my children and my mother who helps me a lot," she explained.

Furthermore, Kimberly also fully understands her mother's feelings, who recently expressed her emotions to Edward Akbar. She admitted to feeling guilty because, in the end, her mother played a significant role in taking care of her grandchildren.

"I understand why (yesterday) my mom was angry, because I also feel bad towards my mom, feeling guilty because she is the one who ultimately has to take care of her grandchildren while I am at work," she revealed.

Facing the trials that come, Kimberly admitted that she is not the type of person who likes to lament her fate. She believes that everything that happens in her life is part of a greater plan from God.

"No, I'm not the type to go 'oh, why is this happening to me'. I think 'oh okay, all of this has its path, it is indeed Allah who is guiding me here, everything happens for a reason'," she said.
