Ashanty Reveals Her Anger After Her Employee's Child Becomes a Victim of Harassment: The Perpetrator Must Be Imprisoned!

"She said it seems like my child was harassed by someone in the village, that was one night before I was supposed to leave for Japan. Suddenly, in the afternoon, she was crying. She said my child was allegedly subjected to violence," said Ashanty when met in the Radio Dalam area, South Jakarta, Thursday (1/9/2025).  

Ashanty shared that her employee, who is identified as P, has seemed often distressed and has been crying lately. After being asked, P revealed that her child who lives in the village is suspected of being abused. Hearing this, Ashanty immediately requested that the child be brought to Jakarta for further care.

"I told you to pick up your child here, we will take care of it after I return from Japan. But it turns out she couldn't go back to her village because of a flood disaster. So I said I don’t want to know, bring your child here now," she added.

The next day, Ashanty spoke directly with P's child. She was shocked to hear the candid confession from the child about what they had experienced.   "She opened up everything and I felt like I was in pain. We are mothers, right? She told it so casually as if nothing happened, and if you knew the story, this person (the perpetrator) is like an animal," said Ashanty.

Because she had to leave for Japan for a family vacation, Ashanty asked other employees to report this case to the police immediately. She also ensured that the child would remain in Jakarta to receive protection.   "I don’t want to know, that person (the perpetrator) should be imprisoned and this child stays in Jakarta. After the new year, Mas Aris and the other employees will go there to file a report," she explained.

Ashanty thanked the Sukabumi Police Department in West Java for their quick response in handling this report. She mentioned that the legal process is underway and hopes the perpetrator will be arrested soon.   "Thank you to the Chief of Sukabumi Police for responding quickly to our report. It’s currently in progress, and they say the perpetrator will be detained soon," she said.

Furthermore, Ashanty revealed that the perpetrator's modus operandi is very inhumane. The child of employee P is suspected of being given pocket money and taken to an inappropriate location.   "Given pocket money, and then did you know that the place is in a cage. Oh, this kind of human, oh my," she said with an angry tone.

She also recounted that the child had once spoken in a resigned tone. This made the police handling the case feel very devastated.   "There, the children were telling like, yeah this is like my fate. This child is telling like what else can I do. Oh, even the female police officer who did the examination cried," said Ashanty.

Ashanty hopes that the perpetrator receives a punishment that is commensurate with their actions. She also emphasizes that she will continue to monitor the developments of this case to ensure justice for the child.

"I believe that those who commit sexual harassment crimes like predators will get their comeuppance. I haven't been there yet because I just got back, but I will go there later," concluded Ashanty.
