Asri Welas and Husband Decide to Divorce Due to Different Principles, Have Been Living Apart for the Last 3 Years

This couple has just completed a mediation session at the Depok Religious Court on Tuesday (13/12/2024). Asri and Galiech have finally decided to separate after being married for 17 years.

In her statement, Asri Welas revealed that this decision has been made after careful consideration over the past few years.

"I have been thinking about this for four to five years. We have discussed this thoroughly. Don't imitate this, friends, but this really had to be decided," said Asri at the Depok Religious Court (PA) on Tuesday (3/12/2024).

1. Have Been Separated for 2-3 Years

Meanwhile, Galiech confirmed that they have been separated for approximately two to three years.

"Yes, the separation has been a long time, about two to three years," said Galiech.

Asri also explained that differences in principles were the main reason behind their divorce.

"So there are principles that cannot be united between Mas Galiech and Asri," she revealed.

2. Apologies to the Children for the Divorce Decision

Not forgetting, Asri expressed her apologies to their children for this decision.

"I apologize that this had to happen. I apologize to Mas Imam, Ibran, and Gibran. But there is no such thing as an ex-family. We will always be mami papi Imam, Ibran, and Gibran," she said.

Although no longer together as a couple, both remain committed to fulfilling their roles as parents. When asked further about the reasons for the divorce, Asri chose not to disclose the details.

3. Hoping the Public Does Not Imitate

"Let the mistakes be an introspection for both of us. We are both wrong, we must admit this is not good, but this had to happen," he explained.

He also hopes that the public will not imitate the steps he has taken. Asri and Galiech emphasize that although they are divorced, their relationship remains harmonious for the sake of the children.

4. Hoping to Continue Being a Family

"(If we love each other) Yes, as a father and child, as a mother," said Asri.

Through this life journey, Asri hopes the public can take lessons from his story.

"Do not imitate, friends. Hopefully, we can continue to be a good family. Thank you very much," he concluded.
