Asri Welas Officially Divorces Galiech, Ends Marriage Peacefully with Tears

Kapanlagi.com - The divorce ruling session for Asri Welas and Galiech Ridha Rahardja was finally held at the Religious Court of Depok, West Java, on Thursday (23/1/2025). After a long process, the panel of judges granted the divorce petition filed by the 44-year-old actress.

During the trial, Asri was present with her legal counsel, while Galiech came alone. They sat opposite each other in the courtroom, attentively listening to the reading of the verdict by the presiding judge, Drs. Samsudin, S.H., M.H. In his ruling, the judge pronounced a single bain sughra talak to the couple who had been married for over 15 years.

"One, granting the plaintiff's petition. Two, pronouncing a single bain sughra talak against the defendant Galiech Ridha Rahardja towards the plaintiff, Asri Pramawati," said Samsudin while reading the verdict.

1. Child Custody

Asri expressed that this divorce is the culmination of a long journey she has gone through. "It's not just from 2022, it has been going on for 4-5 years," said Asri, emphasizing that the issues in her household have been ongoing for quite some time.

The judges' decision also includes child custody. The judge awarded custody of the couple's three children to Asri until they reach adulthood or turn 21 years old. “While still providing access for the defendant as their father to meet and show affection to the children,” continued Samsudin.

Although she received custody, Asri ensured that the father-child relationship remains intact. "Everything is fine, all is well. Mas Galiech can come anytime, he can call anytime too," said Asri with a smile.

2. A Long Process

In addition, Galiech is required to provide alimony of Rp 5 million per month with a 10 percent increase each year. The joint assets, consisting of one house and one car, were also decided to be handed over to Asri.

Asri burst into tears in the courtroom when the judge read the verdict. This moment felt emotional, especially when the custody of her children officially came into her hands. Nevertheless, both Asri and Galiech showed a mature attitude by accepting this decision without dispute.

Galiech revealed that this separation was the result of a long process. "The point is, it was definitely a long process. The incident happened a long time ago, the disputes have also been long, we tried but we have agreed to separate," he said in a flat tone.

Although their marriage has ended, both agreed to remain committed to providing the best for their children. They promised to maintain communication so that the children do not feel a lack of attention from either parent.
