The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) seized an amount of Rp 1.3 billion from Muhammad Aufar Hutapea, a property developer who is also known as the ex-husband of artist Olla Ramlan. As reported by Kompas.com, this seizure is related to a case of alleged gratification in the procurement of catalysts at PT Pertamina (Persero) that is currently being investigated by the KPK.

KPK Spokesperson, Budi Prasetyo, explained that the money came from Gunardi Wantjik (GW), a suspect who serves as the Director of PT Melanton Pratama. GW is known to have purchased an apartment unit from Aufar, and the money from that transaction is now suspected to be part of the flow of gratification funds that are being investigated by the investigators.

“Investigators have seized Rp 1.3 billion from MAH (Muhammad Aufar Hutapea),” said Budi in his official statement on Thursday, July 17, 2025. The KPK highlighted the apartment purchase transaction made by Gunardi as part of an effort to obscure the source of the bribery funds.

The name Aufar Hutapea has become a public spotlight not only because of his background as a property entrepreneur but also because he is widely known for having been married to the famous actress Olla Ramlan. Although his involvement in this case is still under investigation, the seizure of money from him indicates that investigators are tracing the possible role of a third party in the flow of money resulting from gratification.

The KPK (Corruption Eradication Commission) has established four suspects in this case, namely Gunardi Wantjik (GW), Frederick Aldo Gunardi (FAG), Chrisna Damayanto (CD), who is the former Director of Processing at PT Pertamina, and Alvin Pradipta Adiyota (APA) from the private sector. The suspects are alleged to be involved in bribery and gratification practices related to the catalyst project at Pertamina from 2012 to 2014.

Two days before the announcement of the seizure, the KPK searched the homes of Gunardi and Frederick in North Jakarta, and confiscated documents and electronic evidence. These items are believed to be closely related to the corruption case being investigated, including transactions involving Aufar's name as a property seller.

This case began in November 2023, when the KPK opened a new investigation into alleged gratification worth billions of rupiah in a Pertamina project. In an effort to secure the legal process, four individuals have been prohibited from traveling abroad. Now, attention is focused on Aufar Hutapea, who was initially known as a celebrity in the business and entertainment world but is now entangled in a high-profile corruption scandal.
