Atta-Aurel Slaughter 11 Goats and Provide 222 Kg of Meat for Ameena's Akikah, This is What the Ulama Says

Kapanlagi.com - Atta Halilintar and Aurel Hermansyah held an akikah ceremony for their daughter, Ameena Hanna Nur Atta, at their residence in Pondok Indah, South Jakarta, on Friday, March 4, 2022. In the event, Atta and Aurel invited Sheikh Muhammad Jaber to deliver religious sermons.

"Alhamdulillah, Masya Allah, I am very happy to be present at Ameena Hanna Nur Atta's akikah ceremony, it's extraordinary. Because it has fulfilled the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad SAW," said Sheikh Muhammad Jaber after the event.

"The event is very blessed because it's Aqiqah, especially since the family chose Friday. Because Friday is a blessed day and the event is blessed, Insha Allah Ameena will become a blessed child," he continued.

1. 222 Kilogram of Meat

Sheikh Muhammad Jaber admitted to being amazed by the festive atmosphere of the Aqiqah ceremony. Moreover, Atta and Aurel prepared a total of 222 kilograms of goat meat for the event, which is not commonly done by Muslims in general.

"Masha Allah, actually if Allah blesses someone with a daughter, one goat is enough, but for a son, two goats. But if someone has the ability and wants to give more, it is allowed. It is a sign of gratitude to Allah SWT and sharing. Because when we are happy, we make others happy," he said.

2. Not Contrary to Religious Rules

According to Sheikh Muhammad Jaber, what Atta and Aurel did by slaughtering around 11 goats is not contrary to religious rules and is not excessive.

"It is not excessive, but if someone does not have the ability, it is not allowed. For example, someone who borrows money to organize a big event, that is not allowed," he said.

3. Atta and Aurel Want Ameena to Become a Righteous Child

Furthermore, Sheikh Muhammad Jaber said that during that occasion, Atta and Aurel asked him many questions about how to care for and raise children in the teachings of Islam.

"Therefore, I am amazed by Atta's family because they always seek the best, always seek the best for Allah SWT. 'Uncle, how can Ameena become a righteous child, how to educate a daughter?' She asked me how, and I conveyed several things, several points on how to educate children to become righteous and virtuous, good and useful children for the nation, country, and for the world and the hereafter," he said.
