Kapanlagi.com - In the midst of the corona pandemic, there have been many viral challenges on social media. One of them is the #VideoCallHalu challenge by Aurelie Moeremans which was warmly welcomed by fans and netizens.

Aurelie Moeremans created a short video of herself, which can be edited by netizens to make it appear as if they are having a creative video call. So what was Aurelie's initial idea for this challenge?

"The initial idea came from one of my fans. So I once made a story talking about something and this fan edited my story by inserting their video into my story. So it looked like they were video calling me. I found it both sad and funny, but it turns out there are people who are so eager to have a video call with me," explained Aurelie when contacted via WhatsApp message recently.

1. Long Wanted to Make

Aurelie herself then admitted that she had long wanted to make entertaining videos like that since the beginning of the self-quarantine period implemented in Indonesia.

"Actually, I wanted to make this content since the beginning of the quarantine period, but I was still hesitant to make it. Honestly, I was afraid to pretend to make the #videocallhalu hashtag and it turned out that no one was interested in participating, it would be embarrassing. But because I was very bored at home, finally in the third week I made the first one and the response was beyond my expectations," she continued.

2. Entertain People

Creating the #VideoCallHalu challenge, Aurelie then expressed her intention. The beautiful actress admitted that she really wanted to entertain people amidst the corona pandemic.

"Yes! In the media, on social media, in WhatsApp groups, everywhere, the news seems to be very scary. Honestly, many media asked me to make a video about how dangerous the coronavirus is, about social distancing and others, but I didn't respond anymore, because I felt it had been discussed enough everywhere," said Aurelie.

"And instead of making people stressed and worried, I want to entertain people in my own way. They say that when you're stressed, your immune system decreases, hopefully by entertaining them, their immune system can increase and everyone can be more relaxed," she concluded.
