Azriel Hermansyah is preparing to welcome an important moment in his life. The boyfriend of Sarah Menzel will graduate together with his parents, Anang Hermansyah and Ashanty, at Airlangga University Surabaya on June 20, 2026.
This moment is noteworthy because it rarely happens in one family. Azriel admits he is excited to celebrate his graduation day, which coincides with his father and mother's graduation.
"Yes, on the 20th I will graduate together with Mom and Dad at Unair Surabaya," said Azriel Hermansyah when met in the Senayan area, Central Jakarta, Saturday (30/5/2026).
Azriel considers graduating with family to be a special gift that he never imagined before. The experience is different compared to when he completed his undergraduate education.
"Yes, of course I'm happy. Especially since this might be the biggest gift for me this year because I can graduate with my family. Yesterday I graduated with my bachelor's degree and they only came as parents, now I can graduate with them too," he said.
Azriel's happiness is also welcomed by Sarah Menzel. The woman of German-Balinese descent confirmed she would be present to accompany the Hermansyah family during the graduation moment.
"Yes, of course I will accompany them. Since the one graduating is not just Ziel, there will also be Pipi and Bunda, so I will definitely be there," said Sarah Menzel.
In addition to preparing for graduation, Azriel is also continuing to communicate with his parents who are performing the Hajj pilgrimage. He admitted that he received questions regarding the prayers he wanted to send.
"They asked what prayers I wanted to send. I said, 'Well, Mom already knows, the important thing is I ask for Mom Pipi to be healthy and happy,'" he explained.
On the same occasion, Azriel acknowledged that the smoothness of his wedding plans with Sarah is also one of the prayers he has offered. However, he still chooses to keep the details of the event a secret.
